I have TinyMCE Advanced and Syntax Highlighting plugins installed for long time, they are not working at all after WP 4.0 upgrade. The issue is cannot switch between Visual and Text button.
Found one remedy from google:
– disable all plugins
– switch to default theme
– remove all browser cache
I did it but it only running once, then cannot change to Text mode again!
Heard TinyMCE merged to WP 4.0, so I disabled TinyMCE, looks like Syntax Highlighting working good with WP 4.0.
